The members of our club welcome you to our web site. We hope to introduce our club and invite you to our bi-annual "Early Bird" mixed bonspiel held every other year in November. The Early Bird bonspiel will take place from November 12th to 14th, 2010. Please follow the link on the left for more information and an invitation. To start the curling season every year we host our "International Open" bonspiel in early October. This year the bonspiel will run from September 30th through October 3rd. This is a great way to get your "curling legs" on for the season - it is a fun and challenging event that is 'open' to all! Follow the link on the left for more information and an entry form. Our next "Lassie Bonspiel" will be held in 2011. Please check this site later for more information about this bonspiel. We have included maps and directions for those who are attending any of our bonspiels. Our club has also been the home for Northwestern University curling for many years. Our members help train new curlers and we provide ice time for practice and games. For those not aquainted with curling, please check out the section on Curling Basics. The North Shore Curling Club is located in Glenview, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. We started curling in 1951 and currently have four sheets of ice. We are associated with the North Shore Country Club. We are one of several clubs in the Chicago area, the others being the "Chicago Curling Club" the "Exmoor Curling Club" and the "Wilmette Curling Club". |
